What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is about a King, a kingdom, and a royal family. We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, infallible, and the final authority on which we base our beliefs. (II Timothy 3:16; I Thessalonians 2:13)

Baptism and Communion

We believe that Baptism and communion are two ordinances the Lord has given the Church. (Acts 2:38, Mark 14:22-25 )

The Church

We believe that the church or ekklesia is the assembly of kingdom citizens established by its King, Jesus Christ, to be the Kingdom's governing authority on Earth. (Luke 22:29, Colossians 1:18)

Denominations

We believe that in the Kingdom of God, there are no denominations. (I Corinthians 11:17-18, Mark 3:24)

Faith

We believe that faith is the sure knowledge that God exists, and He will accomplish those things He has promised. Faith is necessary for salvation. (Hebrews 11:1-2; Romans 10:17; James 2:22-24; Ephesians 3:17; Romans 5:12)

Gifts

We believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:8-11) and that He gives them to every believer as He chooses.  We also believe that there is another set of God-given gifts we’re born with, which are found in Romans 12:6-8.  We call these core gifts.

God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Colossians 1:16, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Gospel of the Kingdom

We believe the gospel is the message preached by Christ and His Church about the present and future reality of the Kingdom, the restoration of His government on earth, and how mankind can enter that Kingdom and government. (Isaiah 9:2-7, Mark 1:15)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the two-fold working of the Holy Spirit "in" the believer at the new birth and "on" the believer for service. (Acts 1:8; Ezekiel 36:26-27)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth to restore man back to his rightful place, born of a virgin, and by whom all things were created. We believe in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and that He ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as our mediator, High Priest, Advocate, and King. He shall return to the Earth to establish His throne and rule over the nations. (Luke 1:34-35; Romans 8:4; John 1:1,14,18; 5:18; Heb. 1:1-9; 5:8; I John 5:20; I Tim. 2:5;I Cor. 15:1-5).

The Kingdom of God

We believe that the Kingdom of God is the sovereignty and rulership of God over all aspects of life. God is the ultimate King and His rule extends over everything.  (Matthew 6:33, Isaiah 9:2-7)

Marriage

We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman. (Mark 10:7- 8; Genesis 2:18)

Repentance

We believe that repentance is a change of mind in which we decide to turn from sin and turn to God. (Acts 3:19)

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is a gift of God's grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross (Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe that Christ "gave Himself as a ransom for all men" (I Tim.2:6) to accomplish justification through faith, propitiation to God, redemption from sin, and reconciliation of man, for all who might believe in Him.  (Romans 5:8-9; 1 Peter 2:24, Romans 10:9).

Tithing

We believe that tithing is an act of worship and that it is personal. The Church should not enforce or police tithing, but simply teach the responsibility to tithe. Each individual has the responsibility to honor the Lord with his/her substance and with the first fruits of all his/her increase (Proverbs 3:9, Malachi 4:8-10; Matthew 6:21; II Corinthians 9:7.)
